Garment created for Fashion Institute of Technology AAS capstone "Harmonic Threads". Inspired by the song Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Rey, this piece explores the idea of breaking free and revealing the inner
self. The unraveling white outer layer represents outer beauty and societal perception, while the beaded inner layer symbolizes the soul, emerging with vulnerability, true identity, and emotion from within. Revoking the idea of ascension and entering a heavenly world, this design reflects themes of love, longing, and passion. It captures the essence of inner beauty being revealed, and allowing the soul to shine.
